BEV'S SUPER SIMPLE SCARF  (Adult or Child)  
Size H hook
2 oz. worsted weight yarn

Chain 22.
Row 1:  Single crochet in second chain from hook, and in each chain across.  Chain 1 and turn.
Row 2:  Single crochet in second chain from hook, and in each chain across.  Chain 1 and turn.  
Repeat row two until scarf is approximately 36 inches long.  End off with a 4 inch tail of yarn.  Weave in tail.  That’s it!  You’ve made a scarf!!


BEV'S SUPER SIMPLE PRESCHOOLER'S SCARF
Size G hook
2 oz. of worsted weight yarn

Chain 21.
Row 1: Single crochet in second chain from hook, and in each chain across.  Chain 1 and turn.
Row 2:  Single crochet in second chain from hook, and in each chain across, working in the back loops only to form a ridge.  Chain 1 and turn.
Repeat Row 2 until scarf is approximately 28 inches long (or desired length).  End off with a 4 inch tail of yarn.  Weave in tail.


BEV'S SUPER SIMPLE WIDER SCARF FOR TEENS AND ADULTS
Size G hook
3 oz. of worsted weight yarn – you can use scraps, too

Chain 35.
Row 1:  Single crochet in second chain from hook and each chain across.  Chain 1 and turn.
Row 2:  Single crochet in second chain from hook and each chain across.  Chain 1 and turn.
Repeat Row 2 until scarf is desired length, about 3 feet long.  End off with a 4 inch tail of yarn.  Weave in tail.  


BEV'S SUPER SIMPLE PRESCHOOLER HAT
This hat will fit a toddler (1-3 years).
Size H hook
2 oz. of worsted weight yarn

Chain 38.
Row 1:  Single crochet in second chain from hook, and in each chain across – working in back loops only.  Chain 1 and turn.
Row 2:  Single crochet in second chain from hook (Keep in back loops throughout) and in each stitch across for 37 stitches.  Chain one and turn.
Row 3 – 50:  repeat Row 2.  End off.  Fold in half to form a tube and whip stitch shut.  Add a pom pom if you wish.


BEV'S SUPER SIMPLE TEEN/ADULT HAT
Size H hook
2 oz. worsted weight yarn

Chain 65.
Row 1:  Dc in 3rd ch from the hook and in each ch across.  Chain 3 and turn.
Row 2 – 33 (or until hat measures approximately 12 inches in height):  DC in 2nd stitch from edge chain, then across to end of row.  Chain 3, turn.
Sew sides together.  For top, make a running stitch through the last row of dc with yarn, and gather tightly.  Add a pom pom if you wish.  This looks really pretty if you use different colors every few rows to create colored stripes – just remember to start a new color at the start of a row, tie the yarn on tightly using a square knot, and weave the loose ends into the seam AFTER the hat has been sewn up.

2-3 oz. of worsted weight yarn

Chain 36 (kids ages 2-7), 42 (age 8-10), 48 (age 11-14), 56 (teen – adult)
Row 1:  Dc in 3rd chain from the hook and in each ch across.  Ch 2, turn.
Row 2:  Dc in 2nd stitch from hook across to end of row.  Ch 2, turn.
Repeat row 2 to appropriate width for the child/adult’s head.  End off, leaving an 18 inch tail.  Sew sides together, and make a running stitch through the last row of dc, and gather tightly.  Add a pom pom if you wish.
